He then looks at me and says "SORRY??? I thought that was a f*&%#*g clothes hanger!!!" Let me now qualify that by saying my toe nails are perfectly manicured. Its not like I have bear paws or something. He just must have hit it at an angle.
A little bedroom humor
So last night I am laying in bed messing with the ipad as Nick is getting ready for bed. He pops a movie into the DVD player and climbs in the bed. Well as he climbs in to bed his leg grazes my foot and I he screams "OH MY GOD!" Well that is when I realize my toe nail has scraped him. LOL. He then goes to grab something underneath the covers and I said "Sorry!"
Mommy Guilt
I absolutely love the daycare that my son Collin goes to. All of the ladies there are wonderful and he never wants to leave in the afternoon. When my daughter was born (first child) when she cried not wanting to leave daycare it would totally break my heart. I would feel like some sort of failure as a mother because I had a child who would rather stay at daycare than be with me. Then you deal with the guilt of being a working mom and not staying home with your kids blah, blah, blah.
Then life goes on and two babies later I quickly realized that having a child that loves daycare is actually a blessing. I was able to stay home with Collin for the first year and it was absolutely wonderful (most days). Then I realized that even as a stay at home mom there are guilt issues. Oh I feel bad that he isn't interacting with other kids, so we go to play dates. Oh I feel like my husband is losing a sense of respect for me because he is going to work everyday and I am staying home. Well if you are a stay at home mom feeling that guilt. Get over it! Your husband gets a lunch break. Your husband gets adult interaction and stimulating conversation during the day. You on the other hand are a 24/7 mommy. You don't get to say hey I'm clocking out for my hour lunch today please don't disturb me.
Then, by choice when he was about 15 months old we enrolled him in a daycare not too far from our home. Anyway... my husband recently got me a Cricut machine that I haven't really used at all so I decided to break it out and make something nice for Collin's teachers. So here is what they got...
This one was for Collin's favorite "pal" at daycare who happens to be the Director. :)
When did my children become devils?
I had to work at the shop today so my Nick stayed home with the kids (all 4 of them). He was actually volunteering to go in and work for me but I wasn't willing to switch with him. :) It was pretty uneventful at the shop today. We were a little busy but not as busy as I would have like to have been the weekend before Christmas. But this is our first year and I am just happy to be profiting at all.
We were invited over to a friends house tonight for dinner. She also happens to be one of my employees but is more than just an employee --- she is actually a friend. After I left the shop I had to come home and get all of the kids ready to go to her house. When we arrived they absolutely cut loose! I do not know what has gotten into them but they have clearly lost their mind. Running in and out of the house, chasing their dogs, being just absolute brats. Then we get in the car and leave and before we even got half way down her road they are all asleep in the car!
